Customise this relaxed fit dress with a scoop or v-neck, short or long sleeves, an added bottom ruffle to make it a midi, waist ties, and pockets that can be sewn in-seam or on the outside.

This smock dress is designed to slip over the head without the need for fastenings.

The scoop neck is finished with hidden bias binding. The v-neck is finished with a facing.

Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem.

The short dress length measures about 37″ or 94cm

The midi dress length measures about 44″ or 111.8cm

*If you want a custom length, input it in your order notes. Anything over 38″ needs to select the added ruffle for midi length.

Fabric Information

If sending one large fabric piece, duvet cover, or curtains, this is the base rate and you don’t need to add anything else to your order other than this listing. You can send multiple fabrics if you want different top/skirt fabrics or different sleeve fabric, but there will be no patchwork involved.

If sending multiple fabrics that you want patchworked together, this is an additional cost and you need to add the patchwork product to your cart. This is an additional £40.

What type of fabric do I need?

I recommend fabric with a good amount of drape: linen, cotton, polycotton, soft corduroy, thinner velvets. If sending in a duvet set, check the sheerness. It may need to be lined or have the fabric doubled up which is an additional cost. You’ll send a photograph of your fabrics after your purchase and we can discuss if we think your dress will need lining then.

Please do not send any fabrics that stretch such as jersey or lycra.

How much fabric do I need?

3XS – 1X needs 3 metres

2X – 5X needs 3.5 metres

The Process

After purchasing, please reply to your order confirmation email with a photograph of your fabrics.

I’ll be in touch to chat about your dream dress.

I’ll give you the address to send your fabrics to. This cost is covered at the buyer’s expense. I highly recommend it is sent tracked and signed for. This helps to cover both of us as I cannot be held responsible for lost parcels.

Once the fabric arrives, we’ll double check everything. If any additional costs need to be added, they will be invoiced for at this point.

I’ll start making your dress once any outstanding invoices are paid and you’ll have your dream dress made within 4-6 weeks!
